Established in August 2009, UNIVERship Brokers has been dedicated to connecting Japanese shipowners with international charterers, providing new shipping opportunities and long-term partnerships.

Our core services include:

• Sale & Purchase of both newbuilding and secondhand vessels
• Long-term charter arrangements
• Shipping finance and project structuring

Most of our clients are regional Japanese shipowners who operate ocean-going vessels and seek reliable, long-term commitments with overseas charterers. We support them by structuring projects, presenting investment schemes, and facilitating ship finance.

In March 2016, we integrated the shipbroking department of Seven Oceans Co., Ltd. into UNIVERship Brokers to strengthen our core broking services. Since then, Seven Oceans has shifted its focus to shipowning and operating, while UNIVERship continues to serve as the main broking house.

In October 2025, UNIVERship Brokers became part of MiCo Group, a holding company that also owns Seven Oceans Co., Ltd., further enhancing the synergies within the group and expanding our global network.
